  • You are not allowed to use your card to pre-book services – such as hotels and car hire companies. Because of a very logical reason as this may result in a negative balance on your card when the final bill is settled. Therefore, you are recommended to practice an alternative method of payment for pre-authorisations and then you can use your card when checking out of the hotel or paying your final care hire bill. You will not be credited twice by the hotel or car hire company in any way.
  • You can’t use your card to pay at CAT terminals, petrol pump terminals, car parking and train ticket machines, automated toll roads and bridges. You will generally be able to use your card by presenting it to an attendant.
  • You can’t use your card to eliminate cash from an ATM, bank or building society.

And, under any circumstance, your card cannot be simply used for the following;

  • Obtaining foreign currency;
  • Illegal, criminal or terrorist activity;
  • Gambling and adult entertainment;
  • Purchasing illicit goods or services;
  • Subscriptions or automated periodic payments;
